The National Monuments Service's description

In gently undulating pasture, with moderate to restricted views in all directions. A townland boundary with Ballyshane lies 45m to E. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork and on the revised 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a rectangular-shaped tree-planted earthwork. An enclosure (LI022-013----) lies 240m to NW. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2001 and described as a raised, roughly rectangular-shaped area (23.5m E-W; 22m N-S) enclosed by the remains of an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.2m) and a fosse (overall Wth 7.2m; base Wth 4m; D 0.2m) with a causewayed entrance (Wth 2m) at SE. The bank is present all around although is almost reduced to a scarped edge, being best preserved at the NW, NE and SW corners where it is at its highest (int. H 0.5m) above the level of the interior. The fosse is visible along the S half of the E side and for the duration of the S and W sides. The interior is level, dry and planted with mature ash trees. The monument appears to be a moated site that has been landscape as a grove of trees. Monument is visible as a rectangular-shaped tree-planted earthwork on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.

See attached sketch plan by the ASI and Google Earth orthoimage.
