The National Monuments Service's description

On a gently undulating N-facing slope, with good views from W-NW-N and moderate elsewhere, 40m S of a watercourse which also serves as a townland boundary with Ballygeale. Not depicted on OS historic mapping. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as no surface remains visible. According to local information this is a burnt spread which was uncovered during land reclamation. Monument is not visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 or on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018.
