The National Monuments Service's description
In gently undulating pasture on a slight ESE-facing slope with moderate to good views in all directions with the exception of the view onto higher ground in the E. The enclosure is located 30m SE of the townland boundary with Killonahan and 240m N of the townland boundary with Rathbranagh. A ringfort (LI021-063----) lies 150m to the ESE, ringfort (LI021-058----) located 400m to SW. The site is depicted as a circular fort on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map and is named as ‘Lissaglanna’ or ‘Earthen Fort of the Glen’. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a scarped oval enclosure (ext. diam. 48m N-S; 50m E-W) surrounded by a fosse. Inspected by the ASI in 2000 and described as a raised circular-shaped area (int. diam. 33m N-S; 34m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.5m) with an external fosse (Wth 5.2m; D 0.5m) and an entrance gap (Wth 1.6m) at SE. A later field boundary (orientated NNW-SSE) runs along the W side of the fosse. The site is visible on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018 and 14/02/2020.
