The National Monuments Service's description

In gently undulating pasture, atop low rise. Site depicted on 1923 OS 6-inch map as hachured square area (L c. 20m) with L-shaped annex on NW and SE sides. Site has been levelled. However, now evident as sub-rectangular area (42m NNW->SSE; c. 20m WSW-ENE) defined by a low earthen bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.65m) on NNW->SSE sides by irregular indistinct scarp on SSE->NNW side. Only evidence for L-shaped annex is low scarped edge (H 0.2m) running ESE for c. 20m from grounds of recently erected dwelling house, c. 40m to NE of sub-rectangular enclosure. Listed as a moated site by Barry (Barry 1981, 84; site no. 9).
