The National Monuments Service's description
On slight rise, in gently rolling pasture; site itself contained within narrow band of trees running N-S. Much of site covered by trees and dense undergrowth and difficult to access. Roughly circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by scarped edge (H 1.45m; Wth 6m) SW->ESE, and enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.7m) ESE->SW. A stone wall (H 1.05m; Wth 0.9m) runs along base of scarp edge NW->NE, and is built against outer bank face ESE->SW. Interior, covered by trees and dense undergrowth, rises up from perimeter towards centre.
