The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture on E facing slope of rising ground, 135m NE of ringfort (LI019-006----) with standing stone or livestock scratching post 115m to NE. Not depicted on OSi maps. Identified as a ‘Section of fort’ transected at S by a field drain and indicated as Site 3A on plan submitted by P. J. O’Hanlon of Teagasc in 2009. The site is not visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 20/10/2010. Present remains consist of a slightly raised sub-circular shaped area defined by a poorly preserved scarp with traces of an external fosse visible in places. No other features visible. Possible remains of a much degraded ringfort transected at S by a field boundary running E-W.
