The National Monuments Service's description

On slight rise, in undulating marshy pasture. Roughly circular area (24m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.8m) W->NE and defined by scarped edge (H 1.1m; Wth 4m) NE->W, with external fosse around entire circumference. Fosse has recently been widened and deepened to act as part of field drain system WNW->SSE. Elsewhere it is shallow (D 0.4m; Wth 3.7m) and waterlogged. Field boundary and drain skirt fosse at E and S. Interior is level and under grass, but with trees covering NW quadrant.
