The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 25m) enclosed by scarped edge with external fosse and counterscarp earth-and-stone bank. Scarp (H 1.7m; Wth 4m), best preserved at NE, lowers along W side. Counterscarp bank (int. H 1.2m; ext. H 1.25m) survives SW->W and NE->E, and is best preserved at NE. Flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 2.5m) can be traced SW->NNW and NE->E. Bank and fosse quarried out at E with substantial drop from top of scarp (H 3.35m; Wth 7.5m) to base of excavation. Level interior, heavily masked by vegetation overgrowth, is accessible in places where cattle have trampled down overgrowth.
