The National Monuments Service's description
In low-lying and poorly drained pasture, c. 60m to S of an inlet in the Shannon Estuary. Depicted as a curvilinear angle in the townland boundary which extends to W from the tidal inlet. Identified in 1999 as a possible enclosure by Celie O’Rahilly when walking the route of a proposed ESB power line. Described as a suboval-shaped area (47m E-W; 36m N-S) defined by a curvilinear field boundary from E-S-W and by a low bank from W-N-E. The morphology of this feature would suggest that it may be the remains of an enclosure. Monument is visible as a roughly oval-shaped tree-planted area on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 29/03/2012. Visible as a curvilinear field boundary from E-S-W with the area to N cleared on Google Earth orthoimages taken 08/04/2015.
