The National Monuments Service's description
On W-facing slope. Site is depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, but shown as oval quarry (c. 50m E-W; c. 30m N-S) on 1923 OS 6-inch map. Area now occupied by shale quarry with recent farm buildings along its northern edge.
