The National Monuments Service's description
A small cruciform limekiln, discovered prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. E0210). Found in association with a stretch of the town wall and was most likely used in wall construction. Suggested date of use is late thirteenth-century. (Campbell 1987, 54)
