The National Monuments Service's description

Discovered during archaeological test trenching in 2000 (Excavation Licence No. 00E0273). A spread of burnt stones in a heavily stained charcoal soil was noted and it extended beyond the limits of the trench to either side. (O' Carroll 2002, 240-1)
