The National Monuments Service's description

Discovered prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. 00E0943). Four pits found c. 5m to the W of a cremation (LH021-076----). Two were oval shaped (max. diam. of each 0.42m), while the third was circular (diam. c. 0.22m). They were filled with charcoal flecked soil and contained no finds. The fourth was of irregular shape (3.7m E-W x 0.85m N-S) and appeared to have been truncated. Six sherds of coarse Bronze Age pottery were found on a metalled surface at the base of this pit. (Campbell 2001, 5; Campbell 2002, 212-3)
