The National Monuments Service's description
This cross-slab was recovered from the graveyard in 1989. It is an almost rectangular piece of greywacke (max. L 0.6m; Wth 0.18m; T 0.09m) and has a similar simple deeply incised cross on each face. It is one of three cross-slabs at Monasterboice (see also: LH021-062012-; LH021-062013-).
The above description is derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
