The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Sub-circular area (int. dims. 30m N-S, 28m E-W) enclosed by earth and boulder bank (Wth 3.5m, H 0.7m internally, 0.9m externally) with entrance gap (Wth 2.2m) at SSW. Oval hut platform (LH008-049004-) in NW quadrant. A modern field fence has been built on top of the bank from NE-E-SSE, while the bank itself is much altered by modern drystone revetment on all sides.
