The National Monuments Service's description

Refuse mound discovered during archaeological test trenching (Excavation Licence No. 96E0093) and partially excavated. Finds included iron slag, animal bones, mussel shells and eleven pottery sherds, the earliest dating to around the first half of the 14th century. (Campbell 1997a, 81)
