The National Monuments Service's description
Excavations as part of the Dundalk Western by-pass project (Excavation Licence No. 03E1574) uncovered four shallow pits forming a curvilinear arc running NE-SW, with one possible pit, internal to the arc. 153 sherds of prehistoric pottery were recovered from the pits. (Delaney 2006, 341)
