The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. 93E0168). Excavations uncovered evidence for Early Bronze Age activity which appeared to be habitational rather than ritual. Bronze Age "Food Vessel" pottery and worked flint were found in association with stakeholes and charcoal spreads. (Opie 1994, 58)
