The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Semi-circular cropmark representing NE half of a ringfort visible on AP (CUCAP, BDH 3). Partially excavated as part of the Dundalk Western by-pass project (Excavation Licence 03E0867). Circular area (diam. 30m) surrounded by a ditch (max Wth. 2.7m; D 1m) with causewayed entrance at W. Severely truncated with few internal features remaining. Finds included over 200 sherds of souterrain ware pottery which were recovered from the ditch. Associated souterrain (LH004-067002-). (Delaney 2006, 340)
