The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 13m, H 1.6m) enclosed at base by a wet fosse (Wth 6.8m, D 0.4m) which is connected to a stream on the NNW. Oval depression (L 7.5m, Wth 3m at top, 1.2m at bottom, D 0.4m) extends SW-NE across interior of site from the centre. At the outer edge of the fosse on the ESE is a row of four large stones (LH004-027002-) of uncertain significance.
