The National Monuments Service's description

In gently undulating pasture. This partially natural, dome-shaped mound of earth and stone (diam. at base c. 36m) is defined by a scarp (H 0.6-0.8m). The ground level of the interior rises considerably towards the centre. As it is planted with trees it is possible that it is a designed landscape feature.
