The National Monuments Service's description
In moderately drained pasture. Depicted as a sub-circular copse of trees on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is represented as an oval enclosure on the OS 25-inch plan (surveyed 1911) defined by a two sets of hachures indicating a fosse. The monument has been levelled and is not visible at ground level. In all probability, this was a designed landscape feature.
