Associated with a church (LF017-003004-). This subrectangular graveyard (45m NE-SW; 43m NW-SE) is enclosed by a stone wall. Access is via a wrought-iron gate at the N end of the E wall. There is also a stile at the S end of this wall. An illustration by Grose (1791, vol. 1, 74) indicates that the original entrance was an impressive round-headed stone archway in the W wall. What appears to be either an armorial plaque (see LF017-030010-) or a recess is visible in the wall above it. This archway (Wth 2.85m; H 2.55m; D 1.25m) dates to the 17th-century and relates to the works carried out at this time by Sir George Lane (Lewis 1837 vol. 2, 490; Gillespie and Moran 1991, 208). During the 18th century the external face of the archway may have been refaced with cut and finely polished jambstones. It was blocked up in the 19th century when a memorial was inserted into it. A number of architectural fragments from the 17th-century church have been reused as grave-markers (Bradley et al. 1985, 27). A 17th-C graveslab (LF017-003006-) lies to the S of the church. Also on this side, a small 18th-century Latin sandstone cross (LF017-003007-) functions as a grave-marker. Memorials date from the 17th to the 21st centuries. (Farrell 1891, 333; Lennon 2005)
