The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a low ridge with a raised peat bog extending off to the E. First identified in centre-line testing (05E0983) for a new line of the N4 (O’Connor et al. 2005, 39), and later fully resolved (E003307) as Georgia 1. An area of burnt and broken stone (dims 5m x 4.1m; max. T 0.1m) in a few spreads was 1.3m S of an oval trough (dims 1.8m x 1.3m; D 0.5m) filled with two layers composed largely of burnt mound material. The stone lining had collapsed into the trough at W and there was a concentration of 23 stake-holes at the SE edge of the trough. Small pits 0.3m to the E (dims 0.8m x 0.6m; D 0.2m) and 6.6m to the S (diam. 0.7-0.8m; D 0.22m) were filled with burnt mound material. A flint scraper was recovered in soil stripping, and there was evidence of tree-clearance in the vicinity in the form of burnt roots. A sample from the mound produced a C14 date of 787 +- 30 BP (1205-1280 cal. AD), which was probably contaminated by material from the tree clearing. (Seaver and O’Connor 2009, 13-15)
