The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a low-lying position on the E face of rock outcrop. It is marked only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map c. 80m S of a house. This is a stone-built chamber (int. dims 1.7m NW-SE; 1.5m NE-SW) with a collapsed roof (max. surviving H 1m), but the entrance (Wth 0.5m; H 0.6m; L 0.4m) survives at NE with an outer funnel-shaped passage (L 0.85m; outer Wth 2m) cut through bedrock leading to the entrance.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
