The National Monuments Service's description

Located towards the W end of an E-W drumlin ridge. Grass-covered subcircular area (int. dims 21.4m E-W; 18.5m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5-2.5m; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H 1-1.4m) with some scrub, and a slight external fosse (Wth of base 2m; ext. D 0.1m) NE-SSE. The fosse (Wth of top 1.5m; D 0.7-0.9m) and an outer bank (Wth 2m; ext. H 0.4m) also survive WSW-WNW. The entrance (Wth 1.8m) and causeway are at SW. A field wall is built on the bank NW-NE, and the perimeter is incorporated into a field bank SSE-SW.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
