The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a grass-covered shelf at the S side of a rock outcrop cliff which rises over it (H c. 4m) on the Tullyskeherny plateau. This is a small corral (dims 3.15m E-W; 2.5m N-S) defined by upright stones (dims c. 0.5m x 0.6m; H up to 1.7m) at S and W which back onto the overhanging rock outcrop at N and E. It is interpreted as a megalithic structure (Richardson and Lowry-Corry 1940, 175) and is known locally as "Grainne's Bed" (Faughnan 1943), but it is unlikely to be a megalithic structure (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 84).
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
