The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a steep SW-facing slope, overlooking the point c. 100m to the W where a NW-SE section of a small stream turns W before entering a bay at the E end of Lough Gill. This is an overgrown circular area (int. diam. 34m) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth c. 3m) with facing-stones at NW (Wth 1.9m; H 0.5m), but the perimeter is reduced to a low scarp at S. The original entrance is not identified.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
