The National Monuments Service's description
Located in a fold on an E-W ridge with rock outcrop and rough pasture at the top of a severe slope down to N, and overlooking Lough Melvin. It is at the centre of the field system (LE002-028001-) with walls from the fields attached to it. This is a subcircular area (int. dims 30.9m E-W; 26.4m N-S) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 1-2m), with an entrance (Wth 1.2m) at W.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
