The National Monuments Service's description
On a steep slope on the NW bank of the stream that forms the boundary between Ballylusky and Earlsrath townlands and one of its tributaries. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3391, E3645). A burnt mound (19.5m N-S; 15.5.m E-W; T 0.4m) that had been disturbed due to tree planting. A subrectangular cut (4m E-W; 2.3m N-S; D 0.35m) with rounded corners, sloping sides and a flattish base, may be the remains of a trough. It was filled with black/grey silt containing charcoal and heat-shattered sandstone. Three other fulachta fia (KK040-091----, KK040-093---- and KK040-094----) were excavated in the same area. (Wren 2010a; 2010b, 243-4, 916)
