The National Monuments Service's description
In boggy grassland under pasture. A burnt spread excavated in 2006 in advance of the N9/N10 Waterford to Powerstown realignment. Excavation licence number: E3017. The remains comprised a deposit (max. L 3.75m; max. Wth 2.8m) of black friable silt, charcoal and heat-cracked stones located close to and truncated by a modern ditch.
