The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle SE-facing slope in pasture. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3461). A pit, dated to the late Neolithic/early Bronze Age transition, with 46 pottery sherds representing at least 11 Beakers. There were three decorated vessels, one of which has a close parallel from concentration D at Knowth, Co. Meath. Adjacent possible field boundaries may be contemporary but there is a possibility that the dated evidence is residual from further disturbed pits. A sample from the pit yielded a radiocarbon date of 2457-2205 cal BC (UBA-11011). (Jennings 2010, 241, no. 904; Jennings and Coughlan 2012)
