The National Monuments Service's description

Lying prostrate in the nave (6.5m from S wall and 6.5m W of W wall of tower) of the 13th-century church of St Mary’s (KK020-060006-) in Gowran. A tapering sandstone slab (L 1.94m; Wth at top 0.56m; Wth at base 0.34m; D 0.15m) with straight sides. The top and base of the slab are broken and the surface is cracked and damaged, with a large crack running from the dexter corner to the middle of the sinister side. There is no visible decoration or inscription. Similar tapering slabs date to the 13th/14th-century.
