The National Monuments Service's description
Lying prostrate in the nave (6.5m S of N wall and 10m E of W wall) of the 13th-century church of St Mary’s (KK020-060006-) in Gowran. A tapering sandstone coffin-shaped slab (L 1.42m; max. Wth near top 0.45m; max. surface Wth near top 0.37m; max. Wth at base 0.33m; max. surface Wth at base 0.28m; D 0.7m) with triangular top and chamfered upper edge (Wth 0.05m). The base of the slab is broken off. There is no visible decoration or inscription. Similar tapering slabs with triangular tops date to the 13th/14th-century.
