The National Monuments Service's description

Associated with St Fiachra’s holy well (KK020-050004-) and described as St Fiachra’s bed (An t-Athair Micheál 1946-7, 63). A field report describes it as, ‘about 50 yards [c. 47m] south of the well is a clifted over hanging rock the outer side is built up with loose stones it is called St Feechars Bed’ (OPW correspondence, no date).
