The National Monuments Service's description

Medieval stone structure, possibly part of a house, and reclamation make-up deposits identified in excavations (97E0334 and 98E0168) at 10-13 Kieran Street, within the SE of the Hightown of Kilkenny (Ó Baoill 1998. 105-6; O'Flanagan 1998, unpublished; Opie 2000, 117). Two pits and a well (KK019-026247-) were also found in the excavation. Deep reclamation deposits preserved in situ underneath the E side of a large shopping outlet, occupied by Dunnes Stores.
