The National Monuments Service's description
Incorporated in the S face of the wall surrounding St Canice’s Cathedral (KK019-026029-) and graveyard (KK019-026171-), immediately E of the SE entrance. A rectangular limestone plaque with an inscription in Latin in Roman Capitals. The inscription is in false relief within a sunken cruciform-shaped recess. The inscription reads: R. D. JACOBUS SHEE PROCURATOR TEMPLI 1647.
