The National Monuments Service's description
Beneath the crossing-tower of St Francis' Abbey (KK019-026101-), Kilkenny. According to Pike (1989, 574) this font was found 'in the old church in Kyteler's Inn, made of limestone, with flutes in Romanesque pairs. Fleur-de-lis in relief on surface. Although now preserved in the Franciscan Friary, there is no certainty that this is where it came from originally'.
