The National Monuments Service's description

This holy well is indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map. According to Hogan (1860-1, 358) it, 'gushes from under an aged ash'. A pattern was formerly held there on the 15th of August (Carrigan 1905, vol. 3, 497).
