The National Monuments Service's description
On a low rise in relatively flat pastureland. Excavated in 2008 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3851). Three subcircular troughs and associated post-holes. A number of smaller post-holes and stake-holes to the S may have formed a fence or windbreak. A small slot-trench and post-holes to the E of the troughs may represent a related temporary structure. A sample of ash charcoal from the fill of one trough yielded a radiocarbon date of 2033-1914 cal BC (UBA-12235). A cereal-drying kiln (KK016-016----) c. 30m to the NW and a number of pits and hearths represent a later phase of activity. (Kyle 2010, 249, no. 944; Kyle and Coughlan 2012)
