The National Monuments Service's description
Running approximately E-W down a steep slope of a N-S valley. A broad deep trench similar to a possible hollow-way (KK015-046----) c. 1.5km to the NW, which runs immediately N of, and parallel to, a townland boundary. This feature is depicted on the 1900 revision of the 6-inch OS map as a fosse which runs c. 80m NE-SW before turning NE-SW for c. 150m. A roadway runs roughly N-S across the earthwork and only the earthwork E of the roadway survives.
