The National Monuments Service's description
On the fairly steep E slopes of a valley running N-S, well above the valley floor, in reclaimed grassland. There are good views N, S and W across and along the valley but poor upslope to E. Indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and on the 1900 revision. It is depicted on the 25-inch OS map as a sub-rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 55m N-S; c. 48m E-W), with straight sides with rounded corners, except the N side which is curving, and an outer fosse depicted from NE-S-NW. On the 1st ed. OS map a field boundary is depicted running E-W through the N edge, truncating the fosse from NW-NE . The monument was levelled in 1958, however, the outline of the enclosure can be seen on satellite imagery (OS Ortho and Digitalglobe, viewed 23 March 2020).
