The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight SW-facing slope on a terrace, just below the crest of hills at the edge of the Castlecomer plateau overlooking the Dinin river to the S, in rolling grassland. The terrain immediately to the SW is marshy. There are good views to the S and along the valley. Identified on an aerial photograph (GSI 1973-77). A roughly rectangular platform (max. dims. 41m NW-SE; 25m NE-SW) with a diverted stream forming a wet fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.5m) at NE and S-SE. The NW edge is obscured by a field boundary and there is a slight bank defining the W edge. Since visited in 1987 the stream not longer forms two sides of the enclosure, but has been re-cut diagonally across the interior from N-SSW (visible on Digitalglobe satellite imagery, viewed 30 January 2019). A circular enclosure (KK011-001002-) was also identified on the GSI aerial photograph immediately S of the E end of the SE side.
