The National Monuments Service's description
On the gentle lower slopes of the W side of the Gloshia river, in rolling grassland. There are fair views across the valley and low hills in all directions. It is depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map as an oval enclosure (c. 35m NW-SE; c. 23m NE-SW), the N portion of which has been truncated by a road. On the 1947 revision it is shown as an oval area delineated by a field boundary, while on the 25-inch OS map a limekiln is depicted immediately outside the NW quadrant. When visited in 1987 the enclosure was not visible at ground level. There is now a house on or immediately outside the S edge of the enclosure, with a front garden and driveway on the levelled enclosure.
