The National Monuments Service's description

In the S downslope of a hill, overlooking a marshy area to the SE, with higher ground to the N, NE and W. There are good views from S-WNW, elsewhere obscured by a rise in ground level. A small circular area (int. diam. 24.5m E-W) sloping from N-S, enclosed by a well-preserved earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m; Wth 2.5m) with traces of a shallow fosse from NNW-N-NE. There is no entrance. The stumps of about 6 mature trees are visible in the interior and on the adjoining bank. Its close proximity to a D-shaped copse of mature deciduous trees to SE gives further credence to this being a tree-ring.
