The National Monuments Service's description

Discovered by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (UCD) in Derryville bog during a pilot survey of Littleton Works in 1995 and surveyed in 2006 during a fieldwalking survey of the Bord na Móna industrial peatlands in the Littleton group of bogs (Licence nos. 06E0696-06E0706). A possible platform (Wth 2.6m; D 0.32m) composed of regularly laid roundwood and brushwood elements recorded in the drain face 0.68m below the field surface (orientated E-W). The wood was moderately preserved but was dried out where it was exposed. The roundwoods (0.05-0.15m) were mainly in the upper part of the structure. The platform was dated to 1484+/-9 BC. (Whitaker 2007, Catalogue no. KKDVE005)
