On an E-W ridge in the Goul river valley in rolling grassland. Land falls away on all sides, though rises gently a short distance to the NE. An oval-shaped ringfort (diam. 22m N-S; 27m E-W) enclosed by scarp (H 2.4m) and a largely infilled external fosse (Wth 2-3m; D 0.2-0.5m). Partially enclosing the top of the monument from S-N is a broad, flat-topped bank (Wth 5-7m; H 0.6m) with a central hollow (dims. c. 8m N-S; c. 9m E-W) which opens onto the E quadrant. The S, W and N sides of this hollow have a stone revetment. There is a small rectangular hollow (dims. 3-4m) cut into the N bank.
