The National Monuments Service's description
On a small hillock in flat marshy area within a broad river valley. Land rises slightly to the N and E. The fields to the S are largely reclaimed and cultivated. The monument consists of a circular enclosure (diam. 31m N-S; 27m E-W) enclosed by a bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.5m; Wth c. 1.5m), an intervening fosse (Wth 3m) and outer bank (int. H 1.2m; ext. H 1.2m; Wth 3m). This outer bank is enclosed by a broad flat berm (Wth c. 11m) and an outermost bank which is particularly large in the W quadrant (Wth at least 3.5m; H 0.6m), though elsewhere it is smaller and more typically like a field boundary. There is a possible causewayed entrance in the E quadrant across the intervening fosse, though immediately E of this the outer bank rises in height (H 0.8m) before terminating N of the causeway. The outer bank from W-E is quite eroded. A field bank runs N-S across the S section of berm.
