The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, in a hollow on the SW-facing slope of Cummeenbaun Mountain. The remains of a rectangular hut site (4.8m N-S; 2.7m E-W) defined by the lower courses of a collapsed drystone wall (T c. 0.75m; H 0.7m). Rubble from the collapsed upper courses fills the interior and is scattered along the outer perimeter. A possible rectangular annexe (2.7m E-W; c. 2m N-S) abuts the hut site to the S. An extensive quantity of rubble also occurs around the possible annexe.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
