The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on a terrace at the foot of the N-facing slope of Knockeirky Mountain. A roughly rectangular area (8.8m E-W; 7m N-S) defined by the lower courses of a collapsed, roughly built drystone wall (T c. 0.65m; H 0.5m), by the vertical face of large boulder at N and by a boulder at the SE corner. The lower course of the wall protrudes above the bog and narrows as it rises. Rubble from the upper courses is scattered along the perimeter.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
